Caravan du Nord
Featuring Rogue Valley and Joey Ryan and the Inks with special guest Brook Elizabeth.
Rogue Valley an Americana group from Minneapolis, Minnesota, whose music is rich in tone and texture in ways inspired by the landscape and history of the region. Crater Lake was the first of four albums self-released by the band. Songwriter/Composer Chris Koza wrote the album as an ode to Spring - and to be the first in a four-part series of full-length albums navigating the terrain of love, loss, and wanderlust, and each marked by the changing Seasons.
A new album has been in the works for a couple of years and it is nearing completion. Music videos have been filmed and music has been recorded. While firm release dates are elusive, a new single and video will be released November 2015 and a full-length February 2016. The new album goes beyond the Seasons and known landscapes.
Joey Ryan & The Inks have been refining their classic pop sound for nearly a decade and Young Afternoon, the band’s 4th studio release, finds itself in a space where familiar feels new. Perhaps their most introspective offering to date, the 12 tracks feature the craftsmanship and easy spirit that have become The Inks’ hallmark, but with a new sense of maturity and exploration.
Brooke Elizabeth - Hi, I'm Brooke! I am a 17 year old singer/songwriter from small town Wisconsin. Growing up, I was the girl who wanted to do everything all at once. I switched off between gymnastics, competition dance, and volleyball. When I was just about 13, I decided I would add one more thing to the rotation - music. Because sticking to one thing at a time really wasn't my thing, my parents thought borrowing my uncle's old guitar was probably a better idea than buying a brand new one. After about 3 weeks of lessons, I was absolutely hooked. So, to the guitar shop we went. For my 13th birthday, I got my all time favorite gift, my baby blue Fender acoustic guitar. Before my freshman year even started, I knew music was the one thing that would always be important to me. Since then, I have been performing, writing, and playing as much as I possibly can.
