Music and Lyrics by Martha Redbone and Aaron Whitby Book by Martha Redbone, Roberta Uno and Aaron Whitby Directed by Roberta Uno

Renowned blues and soul singer Martha Redbone — with her all-star band — explores her Appalachian family’s history in an epic that spans 4 generations of Cherokee women and a breadth of music genres, revealing a great American story that has remained untold until now. This dramatic musical work explores a family’s connection to the land, the simplicity and sacredness of that connection, and the ruptures that threaten to extinguish it. Martha Redbone’s music flows equally from her unique, award-winning blend of Native American elements and her deep roots in Appalachian folk and Piedmont blues.
