Ukulele for Everyone – a bit of Hawaii in Red Wing
Here is your chance to rock out on the ultimate people’s instrument, the ukulele. Have fun while learning the basics of one of the most accessible stringed instruments around from professional Hawaiian swing artists, Kahulanui
. Ukuleles will be provided by Tree Strings Guitar in Red Wing. No experience necessary, and all ages welcome.

The History of Hawaiian Swing
Throughout Hawaii in the 1920s and 1930s, one could find orchestras playing Hawaiian Swing and the house would be jumping. Grammy nominated artists, Kahulanui, borrows from these influences, performing classic Hawaiian songs in a syncopated style that makes Hawaiian Swing vibrant and alive for today. Learn about the history, culture and role of Hawaiian Swing music in island traditions for generations; continue to play the island lifestyle today. All ages welcome.
