Documentary I 72 Minutes I 2017 I USA
Directed By Robin Berghaus

Will Lautzenheiser was chasing the loves of his life. A year into a promising relationship, he landed a dream job teaching film. After his first two classes, he visited the hospital for a persistent pain that, unbeknownst to him, was being caused by a deadly infection. To save his life, doctors amputated his arms and legs. In an instant, Will’s life was derailed. Fast-forward: Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston is performing experimental full-face and arm transplants that restore bodies to unprecedented levels. Risking his life, Will signs up for the program in the hope of reclaiming his independence.
In this deeply personal story, Will copes with the loss of his filmmaking career by pursuing stand-up comedy; navigates an evolving relationship with his partner, Angel; and gradually transforms, physically and spiritually, with newly transplanted arms. Filmed over four years, STUMPED pays tribute to the human spirit and our capacity to overcome challenges when we dare to focus on the future.

The Fitzroy
A delightfully black comedy, “The Fitzroy” is set in an alternative post-apocalyptic 1950s in which the world is covered in poisonous gas. The last place available to take a traditional seaside holiday is the Fitzroy, a hotel located in a derelict submarine beached just off the coast of England. Bernard — the hotel’s bellboy, cook, maintenance man, and general dogsbody — faces a constant battle to keep the decaying hotel airtight and afloat. But when he falls in love with a murderous guest, Bernard’s challenges multiply, and he becomes entangled in a web of lies, backstabbing, and chaos. As Bernard struggles to hide the femme fatale’s murders from the other guests and suspicious authorities, his world literally begins to sink around him.
