The Missoula Children’s Theatre presents THE PIED PIPER, an original adaptation of the classic children’s tale. What do you do when your town is overrun by ravenous rats? Sara, an orphan girl, and the other Townspeople of Hamelin Town turn to the Mayor of Hamelin and the Council when their town is threatened. They then call on the Pied Piper to save them from the troublesome creatures. The Mayor’s children, staff, and the Cooks also join in the endeavor. Find out what happens when the town chooses not to pay the Piper and the children are led away from the town along with the rats!

MISSOULA CHILDREN’S THEATRE AUDITION NOTICE
Dear Parents and Guardians,
The audition for the Missoula Children’s Theatre production of The Pied Piper will be held on January 6, 2025, 4:00 pm at the Sheldon Theatre. There are roles for those students Kindergarten through 12th Grade. Approximately 50-60 local students will be cast to appear in the show with the MCT Tour Actor/Director. Up to 4 students will be cast as Assistant Directors. There is no guarantee that everyone who auditions will be cast in the play. Students wishing to audition must arrive by the scheduled starting time and stay for the entire two-hour session. The first rehearsal begins approximately 15-minutes after the audition.
This is a group audition–no advance preparation is necessary, but a smile never hurts. Students should just be ready to come and have a good time! Please fill out the form below to sign up.
Rehearsals will be conducted every day from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm at the Sheldon Theatre. Although not all cast members will be needed at every session, those auditioning must have a clear schedule for the entire week and if selected, be able to attend all rehearsals required for their role and be available for all scheduled performances. A detailed rehearsal schedule will be distributed at the conclusion of the audition. Cast members scheduled for the full 4 hours and 15 minutes will be asked to bring a sack lunch, dinner or snack to be eaten during the 15-minute break between sessions.
The performances will be held on January 11, 2025, at 3:00 pm & 5:30 pm and will be presented at the Sheldon Theatre, 443 W 3rd St. Red Wing, MN.
