Join the Red Wing High School as they perform for their annual Musical!
The Music Man follows fast-talking traveling salesman, Harold Hill, as he cons the people of River City, Iowa, into buying instruments and uniforms for a boys’ band that he vows to organize – this, despite the fact that he doesn’t know a trombone from a treble clef. His plans to skip town with the cash are foiled when he falls for Marian, the librarian, who transforms him into a respectable citizen by curtain’s fall.
How your ticket purchase supports the Red Wing High School Musical
- Helps cover the cost of performance rights, scores and orchestration
- Helps support musicians who supplement and guide the student pit orchestra, professional teachers and contract staff who shape a meaningful learning experience and put the whole show together
- Helps cover scenery, costumes, props, ticketing services, technical support in sound and lighting for students as they learn new skills
- Helps cover the use of a fully operational theatre as a venue for two weeks of technical rehearsals and performances
All revenues go to the district to cover these direct, show-related, out-of-pocket expenses. Pricing each year is designed to cover most expenses, but not all. District #256 invests additional funds knowing how valuable it is. Without you showing up and buying a ticket, it would not be possible at all.
