“I’ve never really talked deep like that, ever, but I am still thinking about it and talking like that has made me want to open up more.”

The Sheldon Theatre’s Free education and outreach activities go beyond the performance on stage to connect you directly with artists, their craft and the stories behind the work. Many of our main stage events feature professional artists giving workshops, talks, demonstrations, and bringing their art to the Red Wing community.
Whether you’re rehearsing and performing in a community choir, learning about how to make it in the music business, drumming with Taiko masters, creating rhymes with spoken word legends, trying out a new dance move, or asking a question at a post-show discussion, these events will connect you to art, artists, yourself, and one another in new ways.
Outreach events can also be scheduled for your school, service organization, senior living community or other group. For more information, please contact swhipple@sheldontheatre.org
