School Matinees
In keeping with our mission to entertain, educate, and enlighten, Sheldon programming regularly includes a range of educational performances, designed specifically for school age audiences.
School day matinees occur several times each season. Most events include study guides and curriculum materials provided to classroom teachers in advance.

grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.

LYLE THE CROCODILE is the story of a friendly crocodile who lives in an apartment in New York City, named Lyle.
Lyle becomes good friends with the folks in the building, except for Mr. Grumps, who hates Lyle and pretty much everything. When Lyle rescues Mr. Grumps and his cat Loretta from a fire, Mr. Grumps has to apologize for the way he’s treated Lyle.

When the class gets lost on the way to the planetarium, Ms. Frizzle saves the day by blasting into outer space for an epic interplanetary field trip! But when rivalries both old and new threaten to tear the students apart, our young heroes must learn to pull together or risk getting forever lost in the solar system.

Original director/choreographer Connor Gallagher is also the choreographer of Beetlejuice on Broadway and directed and choreographed Beauty and the Beast for Disney Cruise Line.

At the age of twelve, Jonas, a young boy from a seemingly utopian, futuristic world, is singled out to receive special training from The Giver, who alone holds the memories of the true joys and pain of life. In the process, Jonas is forced to question everything in his ideal world: a world without conflict, poverty, unemployment, divorce, injustice, or inequality.

Upon booking, you will receive an invoice / confirmation.
- A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total estimated cost is required by September 10th of the academic year in which the performance takes place. (Or, if booking takes place during the academic year, within one week of receiving the invoice / confirmation.)
- Final confirmation of numbers and full payment are due four weeks prior to the show.
- Numbers can be increased if there is available seating, but may not be decreased after final payment is made. Tickets are non-refundable.
- If payment is made by credit card, a 10.5% order processing fee will be added.
- Tickets to school shows are $12 for any adults attending (including chaperones), $9 for students, and no charge for teachers or school staff.
