Arts Midwest World Fest Help us welcome our international guests! Among the world’s premier Taiko drumming ensembles, Ondekoza is in Red Wing for a week long intensive residency, as part of Arts Midwest World Fest, which aims to foster appreciation for global uniqueness and differences. Ondekoza is widely recognized as one of the groups to have set the groundwork for taiko as a performance art. Public welcome and light appetizer reception with music.

Master Class with Ondekoza – FULL

Drum with the masters. Taiko is the creative, powerful, and physically demanding discipline of Japanese ensemble drumming. Musicians will work with mixed experience-level drummers, sharing their knowledge and melding rhythms from across the world. The workshop will accommodate beginner to advanced drumming experience, in any musical style.
